Third Registration Exam Announcement

The Registration Exam for Accreditation of

Nutritionists /Dietitians for PNDS members

You are eligible to apply for the examination if you are:

ç  Regular PNDS members.

ç  MSc (Nutrition) / MSc (Home Economics with specialization in Foods & Nutrition).

ç  Work experience required:

Registered Dietitians:   At least 6 months in a clinical setting.  

Public Health Nutritionists: At least 6 months in a public health setting or teaching foods & nutrition in a post secondary teaching institute.  

Note: Criteria for eligibility may be relaxed if a person has extra ordinary work experience in the field of Foods & Nutrition. Such cases will be decided by the PNDS Registration Committee.

Karachi:

Venue:  Al-Marium; 208-A

                   Block B Adamji Nagar

                  Ghazi Salauddin Road

     Opp. Foundation Public School- Karachi

Timings:  Time: 3pm to 5pm

Islamabad:

Venue: Shifa International Hospital, Sector H-8/4, Islamabad. 

Timings: 3-5 pm

Fee for Registration Exam:  Rs.1000.

List of eligible applicants for the examination will be announced by 30^th August 2011. Eligible applicants will be provided with sample MCQ’s as well as a list of resources to enable them to prepare for the test. Results will be emailed to individual candidates within one month of the exam date.

Details of Content of Examination

Those who fulfill the above criteria and pass the registration examination with an overall score of at least 50% and obtain at least 30% score within each category will be eligible to become PNDS accredited Dietitians/Nutritionists.

     Registration needs to be renewed every two years. Renewal of registration will    be contingent on meeting of the Continuing Nutrition Education/Professional Development criteria of 15 credit hours per 2 years.

 Fee for the registration: Free for first two years.
